Return Policy

At Athena's Anime Figure Shop, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please review our return policy carefully before placing an order.

Return Window

Eligible items may be returned within 14 days of the delivery date.

To initiate a return, please contact us within this period with your order information and reason for the return.

Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return:

The item must be unused and in its original, unopened condition.
The item must be returned in its original, resalable packaging, including all accessories, inserts, protective materials, and promotional items.
Return requests must be submitted within 14 days of the delivery date.
The item must not show signs of use, modification, or damage caused by the customer.

Items returned that do not meet these conditions may be refused or subject to a partial refund at our discretion.

Pre-Order Items

Pre-order items are subject to the same return requirements as in-stock merchandise unless otherwise designated as Final Sale.

The 14-day return period begins on the date the item is delivered.
Separately invoiced pre-order shipping charges are non-refundable once the item has shipped.
Any non-refundable deposits disclosed at the time of purchase remain non-refundable.

Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is the result of our error or a defective product.

We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items and are not responsible for returns lost or damaged during transit.

Return shipping costs are non-refundable.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

Opened or used products.
Items damaged due to customer misuse or improper handling.
Clearance, sale, or Final Sale items.
Certain limited edition, exclusive, lottery, and special-order merchandise designated as Final Sale.
Gift cards.

Products identified as Final Sale on the product page are not eligible for return, refund, or exchange.

Manufacturer Variations

Due to the nature of collectible merchandise, slight variations in paint application, sculpting, packaging, factory-applied finishes, or other minor manufacturing characteristics are considered normal and are not considered defects.

Minor cosmetic imperfections to manufacturer packaging, including slight dents, creases, corner wear, or shelf wear, do not constitute damage and are not grounds for return or exchange unless the product itself has sustained material damage.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or you receive an incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

Please include:

Your order number.
Photos of the product.
Photos of the product packaging.
Photos of the shipping box and shipping label, if applicable.

Failure to report shipping damage within 7 days may limit our ability to file claims with the shipping carrier and may affect available remedies.

We will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible through a replacement, exchange, refund, or other appropriate solution.

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will notify you of the status of your refund.

If approved:

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days after approval, although your financial institution may require additional time to post the funds to your account.

If a returned item does not meet the conditions outlined in this policy, the return may be declined or a partial refund may be issued at our discretion.

Cancellation Policy

At Athena's Anime Figure Shop, we strive to provide a smooth shopping experience while offering highly sought-after anime figures and collectibles. Please review our cancellation policy carefully before placing an order.

In-Stock Items

Orders for in-stock items may be canceled if they have not yet entered the fulfillment process.

Cancellation requests should be submitted as soon as possible.
Orders that have been packed, had a shipping label created, or have shipped cannot be canceled.
Approved cancellations for eligible in-stock orders will receive a full refund to the original payment method.

Pre-Order Items

Pre-order items reserve inventory specifically for you and are subject to the following terms.

Pre-Order Cancellations

Pre-orders may be canceled at any time before the beginning of the manufacturer's originally listed estimated release month.

For example:

An item with an estimated release of October 2026 may be canceled through September 30, 2026.
Beginning October 1, 2026, the order is considered finalized and is no longer eligible for cancellation, even if the manufacturer later delays the release date.

If a non-refundable deposit was required at the time of purchase, that deposit will remain non-refundable in accordance with the terms disclosed on the product page.

Estimated Release Dates

Estimated release months are provided by manufacturers and distributors and are subject to change without notice.

Changes to a product's estimated release date made after the order is placed do not extend or reopen the cancellation period. Once the originally listed estimated release month has begun, the pre-order is considered final and can no longer be canceled.

Pre-Order Shipping

Unless otherwise stated, shipping charges are not included in the purchase price of pre-order items.

When your pre-order arrives and is ready to ship:

Shipping costs will be calculated based on the size, weight, and destination of your order.
A separate shipping invoice will be sent to the email address associated with your order.
Payment of the shipping invoice is required before the order will be shipped.

After the Final Shipping Invoice

Once the final shipping invoice has been issued:

The order remains non-cancelable, as the cancellation period has already ended at the beginning of the originally listed estimated release month.
Payment of the shipping invoice is required within 7 calendar days of the invoice date, unless otherwise specified.
Failure to pay the shipping invoice within the required timeframe may result in the order being canceled.
Any applicable non-refundable deposits or prior payments may be forfeited.
Reserved inventory may be released for sale to other customers.

If additional time is needed to complete payment, customers should contact Athena's Anime Figure Shop before the invoice due date. While we will do our best to accommodate reasonable requests, payment extensions are granted at our sole discretion.

Combined Orders

For orders containing both in-stock and pre-order items:

In-stock items follow the cancellation policy for in-stock merchandise.
Pre-order items follow the pre-order cancellation policy.
Partial cancellations may be granted depending on the status of the order.

Limited Edition and Special Order Items

Certain products, including limited edition figures, convention exclusives, lottery prize items, and special-order merchandise, may be designated as Final Sale. These items cannot be canceled or refunded and will be be clearly identified on the product page.

Shipping and Processing Costs

If an order has already incurred non-recoverable costs, including payment processing fees, shipping expenses, or other fulfillment-related charges, these amounts may be deducted from any eligible refund where permitted by applicable law.

How to Request a Cancellation

To request a cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible and include:

Your order number.
The name used to place the order.
Your cancellation request.

Cancellation requests are processed in the order they are received and are subject to the terms outlined in this policy.

Our Right to Refuse Cancellations

Athena's Anime Figure Shop reserves the right to deny cancellation requests for orders that:

Have entered the fulfillment process.
Have shipped.
Are designated as Final Sale.
Are custom or special-order items.
Are no longer within the eligible cancellation period for pre-order items.

In-Stock Items

Orders for in-stock items are typically processed within 1–3 business days after payment is received.

Processing times may be extended during holidays, major product releases, sales events, or periods of unusually high order volume.

Receiving a shipping confirmation email means your order has entered the shipping process and can no longer be canceled.

Pre-Order Items

Pre-order items are products that have not yet been released or received into our inventory.

Estimated release dates are provided by manufacturers and distributors and are subject to change without notice. Athena's Anime Figure Shop cannot guarantee manufacturer release schedules.

Pre-Order Shipping Charges

Unless otherwise stated, shipping is not included in the purchase price of pre-order items.

When your pre-order arrives and is ready to ship:

Shipping costs will be calculated based on the size, weight, and destination of your order.
A separate shipping invoice will be sent to the email address associated with your order.
Payment of the shipping invoice is required before the order will ship.

By placing a pre-order, you acknowledge and agree that shipping charges will be collected separately.

Failure to pay the shipping invoice within the specified payment period may result in cancellation of the order in accordance with our Cancellation Policy.

Combined Orders

Orders containing both in-stock and pre-order items may be handled separately at our discretion.

If an order contains multiple pre-order items with different release dates:

Items may be held until all products are available for shipment.
Items may be shipped separately if necessary.
Additional shipping charges may apply for split shipments.

Customers requesting separate shipments may be responsible for additional shipping costs.

Shipping Methods

We ship using reputable shipping carriers selected based on factors including destination, package size, weight, service availability, delivery requirements, and shipping rates.

Available shipping options and estimated delivery times are displayed during checkout or invoicing.

Shipping Carrier Selection

Athena's Anime Figure Shop reserves the right to select or change the shipping carrier used for an order without prior notice when necessary or appropriate.

The carrier selected may differ from the carrier or service originally displayed or selected at checkout. Carrier selection may be changed due to package dimensions or weight, destination restrictions, service availability, shipping rates, operational considerations, or other circumstances that may affect the safe or efficient delivery of an order.

Shipping carriers may include, but are not limited to, USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, or other available carriers.

Changing the shipping carrier does not necessarily indicate a change to the shipping service purchased or the estimated delivery timeframe.

Delivery estimates are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed.

Domestic Shipping

We currently ship throughout the United States.

Shipping rates are calculated based on package weight, dimensions, destination, and selected shipping service.

International Shipping

We currently do not offer international shipping at this time.

Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

If an incorrect or incomplete address is provided:

Additional shipping charges may apply.
Delivery delays may occur.
Returned packages may require additional postage before reshipment.

Orders that have entered processing cannot always be modified.

Lost, Stolen, or Delayed Packages

Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, delivery is the responsibility of the carrier.

Athena's Anime Figure Shop is not responsible for:

Carrier delays.
Weather-related delays.
Customs delays.
Lost or stolen packages marked as delivered.

If a package appears to be lost, customers should contact both the shipping carrier and Athena's Anime Figure Shop so we can assist with available claims procedures.

Damaged Packages

If your order arrives damaged:

Contact us within 7 days of delivery.
Retain all packaging materials.
Provide photographs of:

The damaged item.
The product packaging.
The shipping box.
The shipping label.

Damage claims may require cooperation with the shipping carrier.

Manufacturer Release Delays

Collectible merchandise is subject to manufacturer production schedules.

Release dates provided for pre-order items are estimates only and may change due to:

Manufacturing delays.
Production issues.
International shipping disruptions.
Distributor allocation adjustments.
Customs processing.

Athena's Anime Figure Shop is not responsible for delays outside of our control.

Shipping Restrictions

Order Tracking

Tracking information will be provided when available after your order ships.

Pre-Orders

How do pre-orders work?

Pre-orders allow you to reserve an upcoming product before it arrives in stock.

Because pre-order products have not yet arrived, estimated release dates are provided by the manufacturer or distributor and may change.

When placing a pre-order, please understand that release dates are estimates and are subject to change.

How much do I pay when placing a pre-order?

Our payment requirements depend on the product price and type:

Products under $50: Full payment is generally required at checkout.
Products $50 or more: A 25% deposit is generally required at checkout. The remaining balance will be invoiced once the product arrives and is ready to be fulfilled.
TCG products: Payment is required in full upfront.

Please note that some products under $50 may still require a deposit depending on the item.

The payment requirements displayed on the product page and during checkout will take precedence.

When will I be charged the remaining balance on a pre-order?

For products requiring a deposit, the remaining balance will be invoiced once the product arrives and is ready to be fulfilled.

You will need to pay the remaining balance before the order can be shipped.

Is shipping included in my pre-order payment?

No.

Shipping for pre-order items is calculated separately and is not included in your initial pre-order payment.

Once your item arrives and is ready to ship, we will calculate the applicable shipping cost and send you a separate shipping invoice.

Your pre-order will be shipped after the required remaining balance and shipping charges have been paid.

Why isn't shipping charged when I place my pre-order?

Pre-order products can have unpredictable release dates, quantities, and shipping requirements. Rather than charging an estimated shipping amount months in advance, we calculate shipping when your product is actually ready to be shipped.

This allows us to provide a more accurate shipping charge based on the actual package and available shipping options.

What happens if a pre-order is delayed?

Manufacturer and distributor release dates are estimates and can change.

If a product is delayed, your pre-order will remain active unless otherwise stated. We will provide updates when meaningful information becomes available.

What happens if a pre-order is canceled by the manufacturer?

If a manufacturer or distributor cancels a product, we will contact affected customers regarding their order and available options.

Can I cancel a pre-order?

Pre-order cancellations are subject to our pre-order cancellation policy.

Because pre-orders are commitments made with our suppliers, cancellation requests may be subject to restrictions, fees, or forfeiture of deposits depending on the product and circumstances.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to request a cancellation.

Can I combine multiple pre-orders into one shipment?

Depending on the products and their estimated arrival dates, we may be able to combine items into a single shipment.

However, we cannot guarantee that separate pre-orders will arrive together. Products may arrive at different times and may need to be shipped separately.

Understanding Our Figure Categories

Not all anime figures are made the same, and terms like Prize, Premium, and Pre-Owned can sometimes be confusing. Here’s a quick guide to help you understand what to expect when shopping with us.

Prize Figures

Prize figures are generally affordable, mass-produced figures that are commonly sold as prizes in Japanese arcade games, particularly crane games.

Because they are designed to be affordable and widely produced, prize figures typically have simpler sculpts, paint applications, and packaging compared to higher-end figures. However, that doesn't mean they're low quality! Many prize figures offer excellent character designs and can be a great way to build a collection without spending a lot of money.

Prize figures are a great option for collectors who want to display their favorite characters while keeping costs reasonable.

Premium Figures

Premium figures generally offer a step up in quality, detail, materials, or presentation compared to standard prize figures.

These figures may feature more detailed sculpts, more elaborate paintwork, additional accessories, larger sizes, or more intricate bases and designs. Premium figures can come from a variety of manufacturers and may vary considerably in price and quality.

Because "premium" isn't a single standardized figure category across the entire industry, the exact features and quality will depend on the specific manufacturer and product.

If you're looking for something with a little more detail and presence on your shelf, premium figures may be a great choice.

Pre-Owned Figures

Pre-owned figures are figures that have previously been owned, displayed, or otherwise handled by another collector.

A pre-owned figure may be in excellent condition, but it can also show signs of previous ownership. Condition can vary from figure to figure, so we make an effort to clearly describe the condition of each pre-owned item.

Whenever applicable, our listings will note things such as:

Condition of the figure
Condition of the box
Missing or damaged accessories
Paint imperfections or other noticeable flaws
Signs of previous display or handling

We recommend carefully reading the individual product description and reviewing the provided photos before purchasing a pre-owned item.

Which One Is Right for You?

It really comes down to what you're looking for!

Prize figures are great for affordable collecting and filling out your shelves with characters you love.

Premium figures are ideal if you're looking for additional detail, larger displays, or a more elaborate figure.

Pre-owned figures can be a great way to find older, harder-to-find, or discontinued figures at prices that may be more accessible than buying them new.
